The legality of the solicitation efforts at the World Tea & Coffee Inc. parking lot is the source of ambiguity in the presented case. According to the law, it is illegal for anyone to solicit from a private property without seeking the approval of the owner of the private property to engage in the said activity. More so, such would be considered illegal if the activity in question inhibits the ability of the employees within the said facility to perform as is expected by the employer. However, workers also have a right to unionize and the employer should not make the decision for them on whether or not they have the authority to do so. Therefore, the apparent situation in which the company appears to impede unionizing efforts presents a legal challenge to the business management. The rule of law would have to make a decision based on the two seemingly ambiguous positions. Notably, the company already cordoned off the parking lot as private property, which implies that the solicitation efforts were illegal. However, it is also worth noting that they did not in any way impede the ability of the employees……………………. APA 314 words Added to cart

Doing business in
China:
I
have been asked to go to China to work in the country. The country culturally
and traditionally is Chinese and every person who lives there either on work
permit or on a visit definitely needs to know Chinese. Unless one has a working
knowledge of Chinese it becomes very difficult for one to communicate or even
conduct himself in the country. The culture
is different , the traditions are
different and so awkward translations
definitely come up when dealing with the Chinese. This is cross culture
differences and has to be taken up very strategically and carefully. The culture
differences have to be treated with great care and hence the business conduct
has to be taken up very circumspectively. The people here are used to the concept
of the working class and this makes them very sensitive to dealing with foreign nationals. The greatest misconception
that people have while dealing with the Chinese is their sense of accepting
gifts and benefits. They are very sensitive
to accepting any outside benefit and
they consider it to be against accepted
ethical rules hence, one needs to understand that groups compete for scarce resources and union movement is very
strong here. They have collective bargaining
power and use it very well to redress their grievance.

It is very difficult to do business across cultures. Unless business understands
the cultural implications of the business environment it will lend up making
very costly mistakes that may lead to the death knell of operations in china. Before a business starts out operations in a
foreign and a total hostile country, the most important thing is to understand
the implications of the cultural bonding and way of functioning. Unless the culture

Global International (GI)-Local Responsiveness (LR) Framework

Read the chapter8 PowerPoint slides. Use the Global Integration (GI)-Local Responsiveness (LR) framework to analyze the following industries (highlight in each of these industries, which need/pressure should firms concentrate on, and explain briefly why): Microprocessor (2 points) Movie-making (2 points) Air Travel (2 points) Banking (2 points) Automobile (2 points)

Answer preview………… Microprocessor

The micro business strategy should major in multi-domestic strategy. There are different needs among different people on the requirements of the computer, and hence the microprocessors must be tailored to the customer’s specific needs and preferences. The market, therefore, differs not only among the different regions in the world but also among the individual communities and sectors (Hitt, Ireland & Hoskisson, 1998). On the other hand, competition is very stiff and hence to beat the competition and ensure that the firm remains competitive, the customer’s needs must be met specifically. As a global firm, the needs of all categories of customers must be at the fingertips otherwise the customers will not find utility and satisfaction in the company’s products………
